When children move up to the two-year-old room, they take their first steps toward a similar routine to the older children, including outdoor and indoor experiences, mealtimes and rest time. They are also introduced to short group times for stories, language, and music while still being given plenty of opportunities to choose their own activities, and move from one to another.

They will be encouraged to join in a wider variety of painting and craft experiences, learn more songs, join in games together, and have a variety of dramatic play experiences. Bilbys have opportunities to mix with the older children outside, while still having outdoor experiences designed for their stage of development.
